On the way there through Upstate New York on I-90 and then on the way back through Michigan, Ohio, and I-80 through Pennsylvania. Put on abotu 1,500 miles total. I must say that the Prius is one of my favorite road trip cars so far even aside from gas mileage (Been down to Florida in my old Maxima, Toyota Camry wagon, GS300, and Grand Cherokee which was the winner in terms of comfort but not mpg). Currently have 3,000 on the odometer and got about 46mpg round trip highway cruise control set @ 70mph. I was kind of upset because my Sirius didn't come in prior to the trip so I was so bored that I woke up my wife and forced her into a game of Prius Hunt (1 point for ever new gen Prius, 5 for every old one). Needless to say I won about 40 to 0 on the way over. Strangely enough there where not many Priis in Canada or on the way back - although it seemed like everyone was driving US cars in Michigan and Ohio. Overall things I liked: Fuel economy, tons of storage for "stuff", 6 cup holders, quick cd changer compared to my old car Cons: The seats (I'm 6'4 190lbs) and no sunroof ![]() Another observation (sorry for being stereotypical) but the Domestic Pickup truck drivers in Ohio and Pennsylvania seem to absolutely love Prii considering they ride so close to my (rear). And when it was all said and done... ![]()
