Default Newbie Qs

Hey all, I've had my Super White 08 package 6 for almost two months now...and I have two questions: 1) I was told my car was fully loaded, so why is there two spots for some sort of button next to the light dimmer on the drivers side? 2) I have noticed that the glove box light is always on, is that normal?

1) I think the EV switch goes there.
2) That's not a bug, that's a feature (apparently).

1. I believe the empty slot is for switches for accessories available in non North American markets. EV button, although we don't have the dimmer wheel in Australia.
2. It is an LED so uses very little energy. It uses so little energy Toyota chose not to put a switch on it as the cost of the switch would have been more than the cost of the energy to run the LED over its lifetime. LEDs have a very long lifetime.

My question would be, why didn't they put an LED light in the top glovebox?

The two buttons that we don't get in North America are the EV mode button and the Intelligent Parking Assist (IPA) button.
