My Car: 2008 Prius Package: Base Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTM Awards: 0 Friends: 0 | Hello everyone, I am waiting to receive a base model 2008 Prius. I have seen a lot of discussion regarding racks for the Prius on this site. While the Saris 58' bars with #20 clips seem to be highly regarded they also are not built anymore. So, does anyone have a current suggestion for surf racks? Generally, they will be used once or twice a week to haul 1 or 2 longboards to the beach. Shorts boards would just go inside the car so this is for long boards. I do not wish to drill into the sheet metal and get all tricky with the racks. BTW, I am located in the Boston area so any suggested stores would be helpful as well. I have had the same Yakima racks for 11 years with no issues on my soon to be old truck. Thank you in advance for your suggestions. tiller |
