Break in period

Should I be concerned????? I bought my prius from a dealer approx 1 1/2 hrs away. My salesman delivered it to my town as a courtesy. When going over the aspects of the car(the MFD), he showed me where he had averaged 42.6 mpg on the drive over. He stated he set the cruise on 80 and set sail. I wondered then if cars should be still be broken in as I hadn't purchased a new vehicle in 10 years. After reading here on the forum that you shouldn't drive at high rates of speed (over 65) for the first 600 miles, I have become concerned that he might have done some damage to the engine. Should I be?????

The short answer is "no".

No worries. Hard starts and stops are never good during the break-in but if he set the cruise and set sail, it will be fine.
