Friends: 0 | And it's an easier status to attain these days, since the EPA estimates for the Prius have been lowered from the original figures of 60/51 MPG. |

Friends: 23 | Yeah, pretty much the official definition of a hypermiler is anyone who consistently exceeds the EPA estimated mileage for their vehicle. With that definition, it doesn't matter what kind of car you are driving, where you drive, how much you exceed or how you do it. With this definition, I converted two coworkers into hypermilers simply by giving them some driving tips to try and spreadsheets to track their progress. |
