Got my new ride!

Hello, I picked up my genIII Monday June 30th! Silver with grey pkg V with nav. So far so good, its very comfy and I am getting used to the hybrid thing. Only complaint is the nav, is overly complicated and seems to send you in really screwy ways. I guess I need to RTFM! Never had to with my $200 Garmin! Got my windows tinted yesterday, these things have a lot of glass, here in Florida it gets hot quick. I am looking for a hitch for the bike rack and mudflaps. Anyone found those yet for a genIII?

Congrats on your new ride! Please post pictures!

Do a search for mud flaps. I know there was a thread about them. I'm not sure they're available yet, but don't quote me on that! I think someone else asked about the bike rack too, so search for that as well.

Hey Congrats!! How long did you have to wait? I just ordered mine last week and they told me around 7 weeks.

Not too long, I posted on here in the dealer section and found one in a couple of days. It was in Ohio but it was worth the drive. Shout out to Mario at Classic Toyota, it was really easy he met me at the airport we traded paper work, he showed me around the car and I was on my way.

Be a little flexible on color and you can find what you want easily.

Congrats! Planning on buying one myself. Say, how does the air conditioning due down there in FL? Not really too much of an issue here in Alaska but today it was 82 and our other cars were toasty.

The a/c does fairly well, I did tint it with heat rejecting film and it really helped it keep up while traveling in this heat! Its not stellar but its more than sufficient 98% of the time.

Picking up my '10 IV (Sandy Beach/Bisque) tomorrow, 07/08/09. I'm really pumped, considering how much I've learned from lurking on this site for the past 4-5 months. Thanks to all contributors for letting everyone know what to look for and look out for. I'll be back with updates as I settle in with my new car.

I emailed curt about the hitch and they said they should have one in a couple of weeks. I have my fingers crossed. Thule has the clips available for the gen III prius if somebody wants to go with the roof rack route.
