Friends: 0 | Absolutely amazing timing !!! Great to hear. FWIW: I picked up my car last weekend & put 1500 miles on it driving through the sierras with no issues. It acted a little strange (engine revving) once or twice but I think that was the long hills cycling the battery up and down. After all that, I think it's fair to say the car is fine. |

Friends: 0 | I have a 2007 with the same problem; inverter coolant pump failed. I got the code with my ScanGauge, POA93, cleared it and it threw the same code again within minutes. I took the car to my local dealer here in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area and they confirmed the pump had failed. They told me it was on national backorder. Sadly, it took 3.5 weeks to get mine repaired and returned. My dealer kept me informed on a regular basis and provided me with a loaner car (very nice and unexpected.) Vital stats about my situation: The failure occurred at 67,000 miles. It was covered under my extended warranty. I had a $50 copay. The line items on the invoice: CMAP $210 (labor, I presume) G9020-47031 pump assy, water w/m $116 00272-SLLC2 super long life cool $20 (presumably the coolant) They also performed 90L special service campaign for potential floormat interference with accelerator pedal. I wasn't charged for any of this other than my copay. I hope the part numbers help. If your Prius is getting close to 60,000 miles, you might consider doing a preemptive strike and order the part before you need it. Keep in mind mine is a 2007 Gen II. Your part number and mileage may vary. lol. |
