My wife and I are very excited to start driving our new Prius, but we won't have any idea of when to expect it until Monday the 19th, when our dealer's vehicle locating guy will be able to update us.

We're looking forward to disabling the reverse/seatbelt beeping, and also driving what promises to be a great automobile.

Congratulations and echoing Tideland's comments, welcome. I'm coming up to my last week of waiting since early September. The anticipation is killing me. :-)

Looks like we got extremely lucky! Our '08 Prius should arrive next Monday! Woo hoo!

Sorry to hear about your waiting time, mabelair; I guess we just got incredibly lucky with the timing of our purchase. I can certainly understand your anticipation. I can't stop thinking about getting ours, too!

disabling the beep doesn't mean he's not gonna wear it.

We're disabling it because we can; we consider it a minor annoyance...and because I'm picky that way. :P

We religiously wear our seatbelts. It's just a natural part of getting into any vehicle, really. Unless disabling the beeps disables the whole "saves your life in the event of an accident" thing, I'm not worried.

The best way so is to religiously put on your seatbelts before starting up the car, it will be automaicaly disabled...
