Timeframe given for delivery: 4-6 Weeks
Color: Spectra Blue Mica
Option Package: Standard #2

Ordered our Prius on November 6th. We were not really in a rush to take delivery, as we would rather get the color and package we wanted. The Prius will be replacing our 1999 Chevy Cavalier which will be returned to the in-laws for the time being for use as a commuter car. I spoke to the dealer on Friday and he indicated that they will have the car in sometime between December 10th and 21st, with us taking delivery shortly thereafter. I have already ordered the mudguards, rear fender protector, EBH, and SGII, so I can install them once we have taken delivery.

Our dealer call this afternoon. The updated delivery date is now between 12/15 and 12/21. Not exactly the way I had hoped the narrowing of the range would go, but at least it isn't later!

He told me to expect twice weekly updates on the status as the car makes its way from Japan to New York.

I got the call this morning. The Prius is in and ready to be picked up! They wanted to do it today but certain things including dropping off the old car with the in-laws, had to be done before I could take delivery. My delivery appointment is tomorrow afternoon. I've been practicing my "No thank yous" all night.

The car is great. Drove it about 60 miles last night in everything from a city traffic jam to full highway speeds, and it drives like a dream! The experience with the dealer left a bit to be desired, but I'll be calling to complain to a manager later. We got the first Spectra Blue Mica in New York according to the dealer.

That's great news...how's the color? I thought about that color but there weren't any available coming into the NY market. My first choice with the silver pine but again none available coming into the market.
I just took delivery last Thursday of '08 Metallic Silver package #5. I've driven it just about 40 miles and it hasn't been on the highway yet....can't wait for that as long as the weather holds up.

The color is beautiful. Its fun being unique, at least for the time being. Drove it on its first extended highway trip over the weekend, almost 200 miles round trip, and I loved how it drove. The car as a whole is much more comfortable
then the Cavalier it replaced.
