No luck yet. My salesman did call a couple of times to see whether I wanted to go for cars they did get in the latest allocation, namely package #6 (+leather, +$1700), or package #5 in other colors (black, silver, light blue), but I passed.

He says I'm #4 on the list. Not sure that helps much - either my package/color arrives or it doesn't. He also said something like they used to get 15 cars every 2 weeks, now it's 3 cars every 2 weeks. Says there's a problem making the batteries fast enough.

We can relate with your wait. We received our Pkg. 5 Spectra Blue Mica on May 14, after ordering it on April 12. They had originally told us 2 to 3 months...but we got lucky and our dealer was able to arrange a trade with another dealer for the one we wanted. We now have 600 miles on it, loving every minute!! I hope you get yours soon. Our salesman had called us trying to get us to take a different color, but we chose to wait, also. Believe me, it's worth the wait! The color is Awesome!!

It's been 6 weeks now. My salesman called today and now he's talking about another two months. Still "#4 on the list" for all the good that's done me. He did offer me a silver with leather today but I passed. Feels too much like bait-and-switch. Someone offers me something, I order it, they ought to deliver it. If that's 'not the way the business works', too bad, that's the way it *ought* to work. Meanwhile if I'm missing out on the cost savings and fun of driving a Prius, well so are Toyota and the salesman are missing out on one sale.

I think I'm gonna cave. There's a magnetic grey pkg 6 available. I guess that would be my second color choice, and second package choice. Seems like it's either that or nothing - apparently they only got 2 cars this month.

That's a nice color and personally I like the leather much much better than the cloth. I think you'd make a good decision if you caved. The blue is nice though. BTW, I have the green package 6. I wanted the blue but my wife said "if you're getting a another car it has to be green".
