Two words: Population Control

So that's what happens when you make a car out of balsa wood.

From the DetNews article:
"The Russian car magazine that organized the test said it was one of the worst performances ever and called upon Chery Automobile Co. to withdraw the car from the market. "

Wouldn't it make as much sense to appeal to the Russian government to protect their citizens by banning the car?

Their free market should be allowed to run its course. IMO the Russians should have the freedom to choose between their domestic POS and a Chinese POS. Russia's government has a long history of protecting its citizens. They may be ready for a change.
