Chevrolet has announced the release of its Cobalt XFE [eXtra Fuel Economy] edition. What is it? An ordinary Chevy Cobalt with the engine reprogrammed to use slightly more efficient valve timing, and a lower-resistance set of tires. Full Article Interesting... but as usual a half-*** attempt. |

The XFE model gets 36 mpg on the highway, is there any other American car that gets above 35 mpg? The FEH gets 34 mpg. High-mileage options are a smart choice, and the auto-makers can see without a lot of risk what the interest for non-muscle cars is. Maybe the 2009 Prius will have an XFE model as well, to satisfy those who are saying they don't need a bigger and faster engine? |

34mpg on the FEH with an automatic AND it's heavier AND it's an SUV... that's a pretty number. | |
