Friends: 11 | Well, first, before we consider it, they need to explain on national TV what happened to the money they got for the PNGV. And then we should be able to vote on it. |

Friends: 14 | $50 Bill? What would he REALLY do with the money? What, does he need another bonus? Does he need Art Spinella to write more crap? Does Lutz want to buy another Hummer type division? Here's a much EASIER way GM's Lutz could turn it around. Sell 51% to Toyota. Oh wait, they fire Lutz ... that'd never work. Quote:
BTW, as t he link states, GM ended the project in 2000, claiming, . . . . "no one would be interested in buying the vehicle." The PNGV program, which President Clinton produced, was abandoned by the Bush administration ... GM already determined we don't wan't 80mpg cars Last edited by hill; 09-03-2008 at 05:00 PM. | |

Friends: 11 | Open Letter to Bob Lutz: Hi Bob, How's it going with those Tahoes and Hummers? Bet its kind of a hard sell these days. Don't you wish you had some quality high mileage cars to sell? Didn't you used to have a prototype hybrid that would get 80 mpg? What about that electric car? What was it called? The EV-1? Does that ring a bell? Didn't you already get research money and national lab research to develop those on the taxpayer's dime? Where did the money go? And now we should give you more money? What for? I don't think so. Go pound sand. Sincerely, The American Taxpayer |
