Friends: 7 |  I haven't found it on the web yet, but if you happen to get the April 2006 AARO bulletin, look at the picture for the article Ticket to Ride. The woman is being picked up in a Prius. If you read the article, it's the perfect car for the purpose of the organization. It's a car service in Portland where seniors donate their cars, the cars are sold and the proceeds go into an account that pays for their car service. They call and book in advance and get picked up and taken wherever they need to go to do whatever they need to do. Article says average trips are within 15 miles of their homes. It also gives statistics on incidents of accidents caused by older drivers.
