First lithium-ion /diesel hybrid vehicle now on sale

Sadly, it is only a truck so far.

But the good news is this is (as far as I can see) the first stage of Mitsubishi getting their advanced lithium-ion technology onto the roads in the hands of the general public. Maybe these guys really can deliver on their recent lithium promises for mainstream EVs....?

Li-ion battery was used on Nissan Tino Hybrid in 2000.

And also in the Toyota Yaris (Vitz) stop-start model, and Nissan Altra EV, but this is the first combination of LiIon and diesel in a hybrid that I'm aware of (apart from in trains).
