Toyota's vehicle sales soared 25 percent last month compared to September '05. The overall increase was due in part to sales of the Prius, which alone rose 28 percent. Prius demand got a push from the pending Fed Tax Credit reduction.

Sales at Honda, Nissan and Chrysler were all down. Otherwise struggling Ford was up a surprising 5%.

Which reminds me that some schmuck on the TV news was telling viewers to be weary about buying a hybrid because the tax credit is over.

It's officially over and I can tell you that there are still people looking for a Prius just as if nothing changed.
