Aside from all that, I feel that the global economy is based on oil and in some degree gold. Therefore if we see oil prices double, then the global economy in general may be in despair. This might be closer than we think. WHEN the U.S. pulls out of Iraq (it's only a matter of time) that oil rich region will be in such termoil, I think gas will easily hit $5 to $6 a gallon very rapidly. So I guess it all boils down to be careful what we wish for. I would love $20 a gallon, but that's too high of a price for the world to pay. | |
