I was a little confused by the prices listed, since the Toyota website gives the starting price as $20,950, then I saw the goofy spelling of centre => this is a Canadian article. (Don't get me wrong, I like Canadians and they do some things right like the metric system, but their spelling is definitely old-school.)

That would be the Queen's English. As Americans, we're the ones doing it differently.

1 Canadian dollar = 0.972006 U.S. dollars

as of today on google

Actually the car should even be cheaper then they have it priced when compared to the USA.

Yeah, the Canadian Dollar really shot up (and/or the US Dollar really dropped) after the interest rate drop in the US. I can't wait until it reaches parity! :P

I hate what it's doing to my portfolio of US ETFs but the spending part of me is happy.

Toyota had to narrow the price-gap between U.S.A. and Canada, they had no choice.
I bought my Prius in June in Oregon and saved $12,000! I guess with this new price change I only saved $7000-$9500, still worth the very small hassle I had to import it.

Toyota does honour the warranty, if I bought a Honda they do not. It is explicitly written in the respective Warranties. The Toyota warranty is North American-wide, Honda’s is not, it is just a USA warranty for cars sold in USA. There were 65,000 US cars imported into Canada in the past twelve months, with Free-Trade it is simple to do.

The so-called extra $2500 of included options is the same as the Touring version in rhe USA, but the catch is the Touring version only adds $900 to the price in the US. I know this because my Prius is the Touring model. They shouldn't B.S. us, should they?

It is an excellent car wherever you buy it from.

Shows you the discount they get even on packages (i.e the Touring upgrade). I can assure you that the wheels, HIDs and spoiler don't cost $900.
