Default 2008 smart fortwo mhd

mhd = micro hybrid drive.

Basically it's just a start/stop feature that saves 8% of fuel. Hey, anything to have the name "hybrid" in it. At least they call it a micro hybrid lol.

SMART CAR PICTURES: Will the 2008 Smart Car be a Hybrid??

Not a bad idea imo.

It isn't a nano hybrid, it just has autostop. Really nothing about the system apart from auto stop.
Will the electric motor turn the wheels as well as start the engine?
What is the power supply and configuration? lead acid or other batteries?
Does it have a flywheel starter or a conventional gear drive starter?

There are EV smarts in the UK right now undergoing "gov't testing". i.e. the goverment uses the cars.
