Friends: 0 | Of the 32 car models with the highest reliability ratings, 29 were from Japan-based manufacturers. Toyota, with 16, and Honda, with 7, had the most vehicles with top reliability ratings. South Korean automaker Hyundai's Sonata earned a top spot in the ratings this year, a first for that manufacturer. The Toyota Prius and Honda Civic gas/electric hybrid cars both were both listed among the most reliable vehicles. Read entire article from CNN/Money by clicking this link. |

Friends: 10 | wow!! very eye-opening list. it is pretty much a given that VW has the only vehicles that come close to challenging the Prius in gas mileage besides the honda hybrids. with this stat, it looks like VW is one heck of a risk. i can believe it because of the experience i'm familiar with in VWs. i have never owned one and the reason why is because of the people ive known who did own one. most have had problems. |

Friends: 0 | Personally I was sort of surprised when I saw that the Saab 9-3 made the "Least Reliable" list. It was the only midsize, moderately priced, car to get a "twin best pick" by the IIHS. I suppose Saab owners can take some comfort in the fact that they're driving one of the safest vehicles on the road........while they're driving to the shop for repairs. |

Friends: 10 | hehehe ok ... i guess that is a plus for the Saab. im glad to see that the Prius ranked well and in what is beginning to become painfully predictable, the highest rated american car, the Buick Regal, is being discontinued for the 2005 model year... figures... |

http://www.topgear.com/content/features/st...survey_2004/01/ Strange the USA has bad results of VW, Merc and co, whilst the German press give them top marks..... | |
