And MORE! We took a 1 ½ hour drive up to L.A. county this evening This was a REAL fun night for the better half & myself. I knew there were going to be several persons of notoriety there, but we were NOT expecting this:

It's a little hard to see the Volt here . . . damn Tesla got in the way

I must say, while we were driving home, and even before saying goodnight, I felt a little more forgiving of GM, having actually seen a working Volt. Heck I even felt a tiny ray of hope ... who knows!

Having seen the Volt first-hand, can you give us an idea of how the Volt's interior compares with the Prius? Is it anywhere near as roomy, and are the backseats as cramped as they looked in previously-published photos?

AFAIK all they have right now are a low power electric motor in a body. The mules are still some other car.

I don't know about ya'll, but I remember some pictures of the 2010 Prius' dash posted a while ago, it looks just like the Volt dash, so maybe that was meant to mislead us? It's not the same exact layout, but they sure do look similar...

Alt Car Expo in Santa Monica,CA
(actually I think he was in a spin off event by Plug in America)

They had a nice talk by Chris Paine (Who Killed the Electric Car) working on his new movie- he just got back from Iceland. Alexandra Paul and Chelsea Sexton were there - and are pictured above...

Members of the OC Prius Club and the San Diego Prius club were there - it was a nice event- you can ride a few electric / Plug-in cars also.

And in the GM booth -they had the EV1 from the Peterson Car Museum (it was gutted inside) right beside the Volt...... ironic....
