Interesting.... I wonder if it'll be limited to Japan.

This is exactly why we need more hybrids...let them bring the price down. The more the merrier.

Cost-cutting should start at the dealerships!! Today, I visited Vandergriff Honda in Arlington, TX; to say I got a sticker shock is an understatement. I was quoted a hefty $28,000 grand for a base model Insight and a starting price of $31,000 for an EX w/Navigation. I am wondering how they expect to move the cars at that price, when a base model Prius is comparable to the EX model. When you start comparing feature content, the Base Prius has more features than an EX w/Nav Insight except for the Navigation system.

honda dealers have been notorious for this... i suggest that you wait out a month, and then go in again... enjoy it.

$10k markup? Wow, they're still in 2008.
