Default Toyota's Next Generation Powertrains

Toyota's search for the ultimate eco-car is taking us down a number of different paths. That's because we believe that there is no single solution when it comes to sustainable mobility. After all, what might be the right vehicle for a particular location or type of use, might not be right for another time or place. Instead, we're pursuing a number of advanced technologies to give our customers exciting transportation options that balance environmental considerations with the human passion for mobility.

In fact, between 2010 and 2015, we'll introduce three next generation powertrains. Each in its own way marks another step forward on the road to meeting tomorrow's challenges and achieving our ultimate goal—vehicles that have zero emissions and zero impact on the environment.

Not sure how you want to read into that but it seems like we'll be able to grab an iQ EV by 2012 (again, doesn't say if it's for public consumption or for fleet buyers)
