Maybe a partial explanation: Japan reports that if you use certain "unauthorized" characters in your name, the score will be rejected (ex. "&", or "%"). Do you think that's what happened?

Nope. I used JayGroh for my name. I came in second 2 times. Dont remember the first score but the second was 925. 1 point below first. I checked it a day or two after I got the score and I was still there. Just recently it disappeared with the first place guy still there with the same 926 score. I assume everyone else stayed the same too.

Sorry Jay, but according to the official rules,

section 2, article C, paragraph 3;

"and for those Prius owners who have plug ins and pay a ridiculously low amount of money to cruise around in oon a daily basis, you are not authorized to post any permanent scores concerning performance. you may only participate on a demonstration basis only"

Okaaayy. So now we think it was possible that an "unacceptable" letter was used in the comment area. Maybe the issue? If so, we're going to fix that in the future so you can put in mostly whatever you want. We don't want to deny you your rightful place amongst the world's most efficient drivers.

My comment was just "Plug-In Prius".

I guess Toyota did does not want people to know about a Plug-In Prius. Thats fine. I'll just go buy a Volt.
