Default Prius on NPR Science Friday 4/22/05

If this has been noted elsewhere, I apologize. I heard on my local NPR station that tomorrow, 4/22, NPR's program "Science Friday" will include a segment on "How to squeeze more miles from your Prius".

Science Friday airs at 2:00pm here in Boston on WBUR (90.9fm), but since it is live call-in, it must air at the same time elsewhere.

BTW, the full title of the program is "Talk of the Nation Science Friday".

Have any members of this forum been interviewed for the segment? Can't imagine not.

Just found the link

Given that the guest is Felix Kramer of the California Plug-In initiative, I suspect it will only be discussing modifications to the Prius to allow it to be charged overnight.

Think I'll give it a pass; thanks for the note, though.

Yes, it was all about plug-in Priuses and other hybrids. Interesting stuff. He mentioned how Prius owners had formed internet communities and how auto manufacturers were increasingly paying attention to them.

If it were to become affordable I might be interested in doing it, except where I live I don't have a garage and no way to plug one in.

For anyone interested I'm sure the show is archived on their website. The Prius story is the second half hour.
