My Car: Package: | The one thing that I still haven't gotten used to is how short the nose of the car is. I park as close to the wall (office parking space) as I am comfortable with and when I get out, I see that there's still three feet of distance between car and wall. When I park in my garage, I always back too far in and there's loads of space in front but I have to squeeze to get to the rear hatch. I always overestimate. I'll figure it out some day, though, I'm sure. |

That's allowed us to park within 6 inches of something... on purpose, that is. Gary |

As for the short nose, I think you can get used to that and over time get better and better at judging the distances. But I still feel like I'm gonna get creamed when I back up. |

My Car: Package: | Dang, Canuck, in Michigan, we don't have front license plates so we don't generally have front license plate mounts. |

So many people don't know how to use the side view mirrors so they're always either cutting me off or trying to move over when I am along side them. |

My Car: 2006 Prius Package: #7 Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTM Awards: 0 Friends: 0 | I don't own one yet, but I did rent one for a weekend from Enterprise. My biggest problem is when stopped at a traffic light or anywhere really. The ICE shuts off. It is very un-nerving. I usually have cars that are junk and when the engine shuts off where it shouldn't it is usually a bad thing. But with the Prius it is normal. My heart skipped a beat every time it did it. |

The visibility through the rear window isn't as bad as I thought it would be. I'm still getting used to the short nose and backing up, but it's only been a few days and I'm sure it'll be fine. What I do find a tad inconvenient is not always having all the controls immediately available (i.e., having to first push "CLIMATE" or "AUDIO" to get to those controls). I wouldn't say it bothers me, though. I'm just way too in love with the car!

With my Corolla, I am able to use the rear view mirror more to see in the blind spots. That's difficult to do with the '05 Prius. |
