Here's the real deal, straight from Toyota. It's 3.3 Megs.

I've skimmed the PDF, however just to let everyone know, look for the blue PDF links. They work and take you to a public web site where you can put in your VIN number and get a list of services that are necessary. Very helpful and very cool!

It is not so cool that some of us have to have our cars serviced for this, however I'm glad that Toyota is taking care of this up front.

Does anyone know if this recall will affect the MPG? I have heard of people getting their ECU flashed and they lost about 3 to 4 MPG because of it.

. I left early today and hadn't found it yet to browse over. I am on vacation next week,so I hope the dealer can make it without me. I seem to be the one everybody comes to with problems,especially if it concerns Prius questions ( there are 3 other Prius techs,but they don't have the experience/time I have had with them ).

Strange... My VIN doesn't appear in the list, but when I put it in on the web site I get this:

VIN JTDKB20U350XXXXXX requires the following repair(s).
Engine ECM reflash
HV ECM reflash
Install connector grease

The doc says that not all VINs in those ranges are affected by this SSC. My VIN is not in the ranges listed but the web site says the SSC applies. Seems like that list of VINs isn't worth much.
