Why would we want to?

If I could have afforded it (rather, if I didn't mind spending $44k on a car), I would have bought the HiHy. Other than that, I'm very happy with my Prius and wouldn't trade it in (except maybe for an 06).

Now, in 4 years, when I'm ready for something new, I'll probably trade it in for a new Prius, although it will depend on what other hybrids are available at that time.

<_< A 2006 Prius.

I note with smiles that the resale prices on my 2004 are within a few $100's of the price I paid. Now... I MIGHT consider trading my '96 Camry on another Prius.

If I HAD to unload the Prius for some reason, I might consider the new Yaris for myself and use my wife's Corolla as our 'long distance' car. As reliable as the Prius has been so far (41k miles), I would hate to part with it.

Umm... Ferrari F40?

Dropping back to reality for a bit, I've actually thought about this myself. There ISN'T any other vehicle I would trade it in for, as it would negate any current, past, and future savings. Not even for an '06, as I would effectively be turning back the clock...

I'm waiting for the Ford Fusion Hybrid, which should be launched sometime next summer. I think it should be a bit sportier than the Camry Hybrid (based on it's Mazda/Volvo heritage), may get better milage than the Camry Hybrid, and will include exotic items like height adjustable seats. : )

I'd trade it in for a GM EV-1 or a Toyota RAV-EV. I have NO interest in any other car (other than a Prius) by any other manufacturer.
