My Car: Package: Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTM Awards: 0  Friends: 0 |  Hi, Quick question that the manual of the 2006 prius doesnt answer: the manual warns that if I get tires at other than the dealer, the tire pressure warning system may no longer function. Is this true? Where are the sensors? Are they in the tire, in the wheel? I am not crazy about having to purchase tires from the dealer. Thanks in advance, Brand Clarksville, MD 2006 Prius package #7, 230 miles on it so far. |

My Car: Package: Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTM Awards: 0  Friends: 0 | The sensors are inside the tires. I'm sure you can find a reputable tire shop that has dealt with TPS before to swap them before them mount your tires. just be sure to ask if they do though. |
