Activate anti-theft

What can I do to make sure that the dealer has activated the anti-theft system? From what I understand, all the lower packages have it, but it is not activated.

I will be picking up my car Saturday morning, and I just want to make sure they are honest. The salesman or none of the techs seemed to know anything about it.

Well, you can test the active alarm by rolling down a window (driver's is the easiest), power down, get out and then press the lock button. Then put the fob a few feet away and open the door by reaching in and using the handle.

The passive alarm is the same, but you don't have to lock the door. From what I hear it's about $45 for the tech to do it (some do it for free), but isn't really worth the bother.
