If you change the setting on the display during backing up, the camera will not turn on unless you turn off and restart the car. Even if you try to push shifter to R again. Certainly a bug and not a feature. |

Does it not return to the camera display if you take it out of R and then put it back into R? And just to satisfy my curiosity... what is it you're doing with the display while backing up? I might be missing out on some good fun here!

My Car: Package: Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTM Awards: 0 Friends: 0 | Just innocently backing the car up, and decide to turn on or off the fan of the heater/AC.Tried to re-shift to R, and still no camera. Car needs to be turned off and restarted to restore camera view. Could be annoying to folks in cold climes during the winter. I find the camera useful for a quick view, but generally rely on the rear view and the side mirrors. I trick I have found useful after parking is to shift R and see that the car is pulled far enough forward pat the end of the parking lines. Nice. But I have put 2" bubble mirrors on the left and right side mirrors for the perfect parking job. Quote:

Putting it out of reverse and back into reverse should return the camera view. I brought this up in the past: http://priuschat.com/index.php?showtopic=16987&hl=
