My speakers are rattling mildly...

I think this may have been caused when I blasted a CD on max... trying to impress friends with the 9 speaker sound system...

are they permanently damaged? will the warranty cover it? anybody had this problem?

I have a similar problem, although, I've never had the stereo over '31'...

I'm definitely interested if it's covered by warranty, as I'm taking The Rhino in for her 5000 mile check up today...

Rattling in speakers can be caused by a blown speaker cone. Listen to each one individually to see if you can isolate the problem, then take a look at the cone.

Some have disconnected that speaker and have had an improvement of the sound.

Mine 'rattled', too...and I have the stock sound system. All I had to do was turn down the bass.
