New Prius owner for 2 weeks. Noticed last night for the first time the New York Life TV ad where the scene morphs from late 19th century town in various decade intervals to modern scene. and in the second to last frame/era a mid 90's Chevy SUV drives past the point of reference and in the last (current day) scene, two G2 Prii drive by in opposite directions.

Have seen this ad many times before and never noticed that clever silent editorial comment.

Also never noticed that there are dozens of Prii driving around my town. I have yet to see one with side moldings and no trim rings like ours though.

Howdy PRIZZ

Prii were rather rare when we bought ours, but more an more, we see them around Dallas. Anyhow, here's a shot of our Prius without wheel covers and with body side moulding - some of the first modifications we made.

Lookin'g Good Charles! I don't have any pics yet of mine with the rings off and side molding on. Did that last weekend and then it started raining and hasn;t stopped yet-and won;t until next Wed. When I mounted up the side molding, I raked it from the halfway point between rim and endge of frront tire, to the upper rear wheel well. I'll get a pic one of these days and post it-its a different look than the recommended parallel.

Looked all day today when driving around (Prom errands for daugher #2), saw lots of Prii but not a single side molding and all had trim rings. Stuffy New Englanders...

I've taken to couting hybrids I see daily. I drive about 12 miles a day, mostly in and around a major University in the midwest I average seeing 4-5 hybrids a day, most of which are Prii, but there are Civic Hybrids, Lexus RX400h's, and Insight's around town as well. What's even better to see is the number of people, that are not student's, who bike to work each day. :-)

Just as a little aside, last night my wife and I went to a Bach Choir concert in Allentown, PA. We got there pretty much at the last minute and had to drive around the Church (where the concert was held) lot looking for a space. Before finding a space we sighted 5 other Priuses in the lot. I was impressed. Definitely hanging with the right crowd!

I've noticed that after I park and go into a store that upon my return, there's a Prius next to mine. Today silver Prius met a black Prius. She was a beauty!
