HI. I was wondering if anyone knows if the Prius seat can be adapted or if a more electronic seat can be installed offering moe flexibility in the seat control, change of seat position, lumbar support, etc???? I have some back problems and I am worried about the comfort of the seat over a long time and wondered how the comfort was for people who may be used to a much more adjustable seat. Ann

Ann, if you do a search under Prius Modifications, there are lots of threads about seat issues. Some people removed the stock seats and installed fancy seats that can be adjusted in many ways. I forget the name of the seat. But you'd find it in other threads. Good luck, Frank

You're thinking of the Recaro seats.

Here's a good thread to look at.

Power lumbar has helped our seats greatly!

It makes a HUGE difference to get some lower back support.

Enjoy!

Curt.

Directly, here: http://www.darelldd.com/ev/prius_seat_heat.htm

And I agree that it makes a VERY welcome addition in comfort without having to lose the side air bags. I'd still rather have Recaros in my car, but these were sure easier and cheaper.
