re-applying HOV sticker

Someone tried to steal my HOV sticker off my car the other day.

The sticker is still 70% attached to the car-can someone recommend a glue to re-attach the sticker without hurting my Prius?

Try any of those solvent-based, "deliberately inhaling this will get you high" glues. But test it first on a less conspicuous part of the bumper/paintwork to make sure it does not damage the substrate.

Why not simply order a replacement for for the damaged decal?

I see a lot of them flappin in the wind and thought those people could have taken more care in applying them in the first place. It turns out some of them simply don't stick well. I first washed my car then went over the sticker placement places with rubbing alcohol before applying my stickers. One of them is beginning to peel away with all my prep. which leads me to the above conclusion.

Rather than reglueing it, why not get some 3M bra film and apply a piece over the sticker. I did that when I first applied mine to prevent them from being stolen. It works fine.
