The MSRP for a PKG 6 is $26190. That is the most you should pay for a Prius unless you are desperate and need one now. If there is any "dealer markup" in that price, insist that they either remove it, or eliminate most of it. Nobody should pay over MSRP for a car, but because of the demand for the Prius dealers think that they can get away with anything.

My total was $26, 545 for 06 with Option 5...that includes the $500 down payment...then there was $60 in extra fees for documents and waste tire.. and $2402 for sales tax ...I also took warranty which I could have gotten for less elsewhere...

but....I did it.

no, that is not a fair price. the fair price is MSRP. In addition, everyone has to pay sales tax, doc fees, liscense etc.

I might be about right. MSRP is $26,190, adding sales tax, tags, doc and dealer fees would put it up around that total.

I know, I know...I saw it later...or he mentioned it and I said "sure" not thinking...it was $10.

They are including that now on computers ...as a reminder to return the computer for proper recycling....so I just assumed it was to "remind" people of same with "waste" tires.
