The nav system on my 2006 #8 is great, and has lots of command for displaying POI icons of various kinds. But I haven't been able to figure out how to undisplay icons once they are displayed. The manual is no help, nor are the menus.

Only thing to add is that you say it like that, otherwise you'll get Hawaiian restaurants listed. :P

You can also do it the same way you put them on. Go to Map View, then POI Icons (or whatever the button says), and then notice that across the top there is a strip showing the POI icons you have enabled. To the left of that strip, there is a "Del" button, or something similar. Press that.

Press the talk button...saying "Hide all icons" has always worked for me.
