Renting a Prius

Not sure if this has been previously posted but for those who are traveling and miss the feeling of your baby you can rent one in selected cities.

Fox Rent A Car

A friend's grandmother was in the San Jose area and she told me that she had rented the Prius she was driving and gave me the info. BTW, she loved the car.

We had to rent one for a week from Enterprise here in Connecticut a while back when we couldn't even test drive a Prius from a dealer. That was the best thing we could have done.

I walked by the Hertz lot at Burbank (Ca) airport and saw a couple of Pri, along with the Taurus, Focus, Shelby Mustang!, etc. I don't know if everybody has them, but I saw two Pri at Burbank Hertz. I rented a new Outback from Hertz in Oregon. Didn't see any Prius in their lot though.

Back in January '05 we rented one from Enterprise for two weeks. I was able to see how the seats felt and what it was like during a normal commute.

The only problem was that I rented a #1 and bought a #6. It took me a bit to figure out how the SKS worked.

That'd be a fun car to rent for a day!!! I wouldn't want the committment of owning one though...

I inquired about the Shelby. $199 a day, with only 70 miles per day allowed. I used the Outback for 10 days, 1200 miles, for just 2 days of Shelby rental cost.
