How do I properly start it? I pushed the power button twice and all kinds of light came on, I could only shift into neutral. Pressed power again and then it seemed to work OK?

Push the power button with your foot on the brake, when it starts you will see a "ready" light with a rectangle around it. If you push the start button once without the brake you go into the accessory mode; if you push twice it goes into what I think is called the "ign on" mode which means the ignition is not on, it looks and acts like it's on except the ready light isn't on and you can't get it in gear. You can go to "ready" from either of those two modes just by pushing power again with the brake on. The owners manual will tell you more when you get it.

I'll let the audio guys answer your DVD question.

For me the key thing would be that the Prius is holding its value terrifically well.

Buy the Prius, drive it around for 6 months, and if you don't like it you can sell it for very nearly its new cost and get the other one.
