With the advent of the first real snowfall along the Colorado frontrange, and good cold temperatures, this morning with my new 2007 Prius TE, I thought I would see the snowflake icon on the dashboard indicating below freezing temps. To my surprise it was not there! When I got to work I checked the manual and did not see a snowflake icon in the master list of dashboard indicators. When did Toyota remove it?

2006 was the year they removed it. I believe it only now shows the brief snowflake icon on the MFD.

Yeah I was bummed the other day when it was 37 degrees at work and all I got was the warning.

I guess they figured you'd already know it was very cold by the time you got into your car...

I'm confused. What pops down and tells you that the temperature changes? The multi-fuctional display screen?

I tire of seeing the snowflake all winter.

My other car has a dashboard indication of outside temps and it really came in handy earlier this month when i was driving back from Phoenix. I hit a patch of ice and had to gather up the car from a slide. Had I not known about the temps hovering near freezing, I may have been much more relaxed and crashed.

Snowflake is OK with me.
