Taking delivery of my new 07 Black Prius tomorrow!

I wanted to thank everyone on the site as while I don't post much here I have followed it for awhile. I have learned a tremendous amount from everyone. I hope to share my experiences with it now that I will finally have one.

Insurance was $1,400 for the year(not bad for Long Island)

First thing I plan on doing after picking it up is bringing it over to a Good Year dealer and switching out the tires as Winter is fast approaching(snow next week anyone?).

I just got Audrey, my black package 6 Touring, a couple of weeks ago and I love her! I ordered some Zaino yesterday and this weekend she'll get her first bath.

Whoo, hoo! I bet you are thrilled! I picked up my baby 2 weeks ago from San Jose since the SoCal dealerships couldn't get one in with everything I wanted within a reasonable period of time. I worked with an awesome Auto Broker who helped me track this one down. He was fresh off the boat and I drove him all the way home to San Diego on the 101! Made it back in under 7 hours and only averaged 47 mpgs which means I need to work on changing my evil driving habits. We bonded on the trip home, so I named him Sparki. I have the Touring Edition Magnetic Grey Metallic rather than the Black. Black was my second choice. I made sure I got this one with all the bells and whistles. I just LOVE this car! I hope you enjoy your new baby too... :P

Finally have it, but I went to get new tires put on Triple Thread, and they broke the tire pressure monitor on one of the tires!

Size 195...so he said that he will only put size 185 tires on the vehicle and i ended up getting the comfort tread size 185...
he will replace the monitor tomorrow morning(getting part direct from Toyota)

Is there a secret to putting larger tires on the Prius without breaking the pressure monitors?

Congrats on your new black Prius/ Your're going to love it. I just got mine and think in's great. My insurance is $960 per year, but I'm in Florida. Your insurance is a pretty good too. Some companies are much much higher.

They say putting larger tires on adds to the weight and affects the mileage.
