Hi Ken,

I am curious about Toyota's schedule for telling us about the next Prius. Can you tell us how long before launch relatively accurate details of the classic Prius were provided in Japan? How long before the '04 HSD Prius did Toyota give clear indications to the Japanese press?

I understand that it is a Toyota principle to keep new things very quiet and then announce their details quite soon before launch, but I wondered in previous Prius history how long this was.

I think the first announcement of 2004 Prius was made in April 2003 at New York Auto show for the US market.
For Japanese market, it was done after New York Auto show.
