BTW, when you become anal over youir high mileage you'll find you don't want to any run short errands . . . or any trips, for that matter, under 20 miles, as that cuts into your over all tank-full mpg!
That is SO true! I drove to the dr's office the other day and then to McD's and lost over .5/mpg. Whenever we're going to short trips around town and don't need the room in the back on my Pri I usually insist we take my husband's car. Of course, as soon as he gets his Prius, it could be a battle!!

I wouldn't rely on Midas a source of automitive history. Not that it matters but . . . .

Dynaflow was a two speed five turbine fluid drive that in normal operation started in the top gear and did not shift. Developed by Buick. See here.

Hydramatic was a four speed automatic transmission. Developed by a combination of the other GM divisions Olds, Cadilac etc. see here

I felt that way for a few days.

Then my back started hurting, the seats were horrible for long drives. After the seats came the super cheap plastic that scratches if you breathe on it. The Nav system is completely USELESS! You cant use it while driving and the voice refuses to understand what I say. No California is is NOT UTAH you stupid computer. Someone here put together a long list of all the irritating non-features.

I'll add one irritating thing about the Prius for you....

The fuel efficiency and overall environmental benefit from the car can sometimes be ruined by the reactions of redneck republican sheep that lack the ability to haul dead deer or their overweight families to the local legion hall for family gatherings in such an economical car.

As more of us begin to use our brains and understand that we don't have to give all of our money to the middle eastern oil companies just because George Bush and Jesus told us to, we unfortunately see an influx of confederate yahoos that seem to think going on a message board and bashing a hybrid car will not only win the war on terror, it will keep America free from evildoers!

Other than that, though....I'm happy!

Why don't you just sell the car for a profit and buy something else? All I've ever heard from you is complaints. Your bitch and moan fest does nothing to enhance this forum. I'm convinced you've got to be an anti-hybrid infiltrator from another car company. No one would complain so much about a car and keep driving it. There are thousands of people who love the car. Are they all wrong?
