Today's paper carried a story about hybrid cars and featured the attached photo, without further comment. Has someone seen it published elsewhere?

I'm wondering if "Hybrid-X" has anything to do with the 100 mpg X-Prize.

If you go on the Toyoto website and look under future cars, I believe you will see this particular style there.

It almost looks like the "Fine N" under concept but not quite.

Is it not also 10 years since the first release of the Prius (in japan) in 2008? And there is a new prius planned for 2008? So it might be like an anniversary model. Or it could just be x-files style.
