Stupid Prius Tricks....

Anyone else put the Prius in km/hour mode and freak people out because they think you're going faster than you really are! Its hilarious!

I do it all time and still freak people out, because it rides so smooth and quiet....

for us, it's the other way around. No way this feels like 50km/h....

yeah, happened a few weeks ago. Still when the car had only a 100 or 200 miles or so, maybe less. My dad was taking out the whole family to dinner to celebrate...yup the purchase of the prius. My sis was pretty impressed with the car, and since she was sitting in the front, she was fooling around with the MFD. I guess she pressed the button to switch by accident. Well, I suddenly noticed that my dad was going 60 mph. So I tell him, but then I add, "And that yellow school bus is also speeding."

Funny you bring it up. I also just hit the mph/km button by accident a few days ago and freaked myself out.

I did that today when on the way to St Joseph to eat... said "wow, this is pretty smooth for 120!" - then my wife's eyes bugged out of her head!

I've been thinking about doing that to my girlfriend when she drives. She tends to drive the car the "Normal" way. If she thinks she's going a lot faster than she's really doing maybe it will make her want to slow down a bit.
