LOL I live in New Hampshire... the Live Free or Die State, and we don't pay sales taxes on anything. We don't have a sales tax. BTW, to the OP, I think you got a good deal.

Exclamation

A great place to check prices (before you buy :P ) is:

To see what other people on this forum are paying

I didn't read all of the replys, so this may have been answered. The reason package 2 has some confusion on price is this:

Every prius package except for Package 1 is on sale at the moment during the "America, your Prius is ready" promotion. Package 2 is 1175, but there's a 600 dollar bonus savings on it. Package six is normally over 6 thousand dollars, but has a 2000 dollar bonus savings on it. Anyways, if you didn't get the 600 dollar discount, you may have gotten a salesman/dealership that's not taking part in the promotion. Also, as part of May's incentives available, a package 1 has 1000 dollars customer cash rebate on it. Only Package 1, though, since all others are already discounted.

You can tell I sell cars.

To answer your question, though: Your out the door price was very reasonable. The car's worth every penny, and you get the added protection of Vehicle Stability Control in Package 2.

Yeah, if you think about it, there isn't much that can be done at this point.

Sorry if I came off a bit nasty, but there are 20 people a week who post the same question. Then 20 more who say "Is this price good? Should I buy it?" At least those asking the pre-buy question might be able to take some action, but they still don't consider regional price differences.

You might not be aware that the option packages differ based on region. For example, There is no Package 2 available in Southern California (or the Central area where I am), but they can be bought in the San Francisco Bay Area. That makes price comparison even more difficult.

I see #2s in Los Angeles...maybes its just a Central Cali thing?

It included ...something called Rear Bumper Applique.

That is the piece of plastic that runs across the top of the rear bumper. I just paid $153.13 (parts & labor) to have Cherry Hill Toyota install one.
