True Story:

While finalizing the deal on our new Prius, my wife complained about the mountain of paperwork that was required. The dealer explained that it was all because of the Patriot Act. But "it was all good" because it really did help fight the terrorists.

He explained that right there at that dealership, they had terrorists try to buy cars and had to call in the FBI. They knew something was suspicious when they tried to pay cash at full MSRP for several cars.

-------------------END OF TRUE STORY

So, now that I know our car dealership is on the front lines of the war on terrorism, I feel a little guilty about haggling over the price. Isn't that like negotiating for the terrorist--not paying full price gives the dealership less resources for the war.

It's like wanting to pay lower taxes. Who would want that?!

No, because when you negotiate a better price, you have more financial resources available to donate to anti-terror organizations.

The extra paper work cerifies that the car does not contain weapons of mass destruction that could land in the hand of terrorists. :P

It would be better to negotiate over there so we dont have to negotiate over here.
