My Car: Package: Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTM Awards: 0 Friends: 0 | I've a new Prius. I want to buy some seat covers to protect the seats. When I was looking at some universal covers the other day (Coverking) there was a warning on the package that if the car was equiped with side curtain airbags that the seat covers may pose a danger to the occupants if it is used. Is this true with the Prius? It did not occur to me that an airbag might deploy out of the side of my seat. I've seen lots of reviews of seat covers and discussions of them but couldn't find anything on how they might interfere with the proper deployment of the side airbags. Any info appreciated. |

Don't put covers on unless they are made for side air bags. I bought my set covers here http://www.toyotapartsstore.com Not to hard to put on. You do have to take the lower back set out, but I do recommend them. | |
