Prius battery

One would think that Toyota would have installed a beefier battery for the N. American version Prius, since we " supersize" everything else Big Gulp this and that. The car is very high tech and we use Tom Toms, Garmins, radar detectors, cb's, ham radios, Big Amps and Stereos. Special Effects Lighting the list goes on and on.
Power supplies from inverters etc...

So why not Toyota Installed a Battery for the Americas Prius?

Because it's not needed and adds extra weight and cost. The power for all of these electronic gadgets comes from the HV battery; the 12 V battery does little other than boot the computers. The only real issue is when you run 12 V accessories with the Prius in IgOn mode, or when you leave a door ajar.
