I won a sirius stiletto portable at work and want to add it to my base 07 prius to run directly through the radio if possible. I bought the base model so there is no mp3 plug.I had a guy install an after-market conenctor for my ipod which is not the mp3 jack but the long ipod connector only for $299. Do I need to have a mp3 connector added also or does the portlable car docking station work ok? [size=5] The installer said for $200 more he could add the mp3 plug. I am sooooooooo confused. Do not know this stuff at all. Would greatly appreciate any input. |

When you turn the modulator on, it will broadcast whatever source you have plugged into it -- your Stilleto in this case -- over the selected FM frequency. All you have to do is tune your radio to the same frequency and you will have sound. Now, the quality is not going to be as good as what you would get if you were running it directly into your radio, but it is going to be FM quality. I am doing this with the Sirius receiver in my Prius, and the results are quite acceptable.

For $50 you get an external antenna, 10 preset buttons, a remote control, a built-in charger, and a wireless FM modulator. I don't think you could go wrong with this package, especially given the low price. |
